Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of AppRelease ("the service"). By creating an account you agree to them.

Last updated: 25 September 2025

1. What the service does

AppRelease hosts a release page and package files for each app you create. Visitors of that page can download the package you marked as current, without signing in. The service also exposes public read-only endpoints for version checks and maintenance status.

2. Your account

3. Your content and your responsibilities

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, copy and distribute that content strictly to operate the service.

You are responsible for the apps and packages you distribute. In particular you must not upload or distribute:

Packages are limited to .apk and .zip files. We do not scan packages for malware; we publish the SHA256 checksum of each package so your users can verify what they download.

4. Plans, quotas and billing

When a version limit is reached, the oldest version is removed automatically and its download link stops working. All functions listed above are available on both plans; the paid plan raises the version and file-size limits and adds priority support.

Paid plans are billed through Stripe and renew automatically at the interval you chose until you cancel. You can cancel or change your plan at any time in the customer portal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Amounts already charged are not refunded, except where the law requires it. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal.

5. Acceptable use of the service

6. Availability

The service is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no availability commitment, and maintenance or incidents may interrupt access. We may change, deprecate or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service entirely we will give reasonable notice so you can move your packages elsewhere.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account, or take an app offline without notice, if these terms are broken — for example when a package is reported as malware or infringing. Apps belonging to a suspended publisher return 404 to the outside world. You may delete your app at any time; contact us to delete your account.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page; continued use after a change means you accept it.
