Privacy Policy

AppRelease is a hosting service for app release pages and packages. This page describes exactly what we store about publishers and visitors, and which third parties are involved.

Last updated: 28 September 2026

1. Publisher account data

When you register we store:

2. Content you upload

Release page HTML, package files, version labels, release notes and SEO metadata are stored on our behalf by Cloudflare R2 and served through a dedicated download domain. They are served to anyone who visits the release page — treat everything you upload as public.

Our administrator panel can view publishers, their apps and package metadata for support and abuse handling.

3. What we record about downloads

We count download actions per app and per package, aggregated by calendar day. These counters contain no personal data: no IP addresses, no user agents, no cookies, and no per-visitor records. They are visible to the publisher whose app was downloaded.

Release pages and the download domain set no cookies. Like any web service, the CDN and web server in front of us may keep standard access logs (including IP addresses) for security and troubleshooting for a limited time. Those logs are not linked to the aggregated download statistics.

4. Payments

Paid plans are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We keep only the Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, plan, status and current period end, so we can apply your plan quotas and show your billing page.

5. Third parties we rely on

We do not sell data. Our marketing pages — the landing page, the documentation and the legal pages — use Google Analytics to count visits and to see which signup buttons get used. The publisher console (app.apprelease.click) uses the same analytics property to count usage of core actions such as registration, login, creating an app, uploading a package and starting a subscription. Both are switched off for visitors in regions that require opt-in (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland) and on elsewhere, and no advertising storage is used. Release pages and the download domain carry no analytics tag at all: they set no cookies and no visitor is profiled there.

6. Retention

Account data, apps and packages are kept while your account exists. Deleting a package removes it from storage and makes its download links stop working; deleting an app removes its release page. Aggregated download counters may be kept after an app is deleted. Contact us if you want an account and its apps removed.

7. Your requests

To access, correct or delete your data, email [email protected]. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account owner.

8. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we store, we will update this page and its date above.
